I am
Nancy Manuputy, owner of Doggone Purr-fect Pet Sitting Service.
Allow me to share how I became a pet sitter.
For
20 years I was a preschool/kindergarten teacher and director
of early childhood centers-a profession that I loved. Over
the summers I would occasionally pet sit for some of my
friends.
My husband,
daughters, and I have two great dogs. Jazzy is our lab we
adopted, and Kelsi is our lively rat terrier. We also have
three cool cats - George, Roxy, and Oliver. When my family
went on vacation, we boarded them in kennels or asked friends,
neighbors, and teenagers to watch our pets. Leaving our
pets in dependable, caring hands made our vacations all
the more enjoyable, knowing we need not worry about our
pets at home. Usually these arrangements worked out great.
Unfortunately, on a couple of occasions, they did not.
Unknowingly,
these experiences shaped my future career decisions!
When
the time came to embark on a career change, I recognized
the need for a service that would provide pet owners the
certainty that their pets were left in reliable, caring
hands in the comfort of their own home in their absence.
Pets
are a gift, and it is a pleasure to give back to them and
to the community with my service. And what a fun job it
is. I am greeted by wagging tails and loud purrs every time
I have a pet care visit with my furry clients. Plus, I have
had the added pleasure of meeting some really great people.
Pets
are not the only ones to benefit from my visits. Pet owners
can relax knowing their house is being looked after as well.
So,
if you are looking for a pet sitter, give me a call. I hope
to offer you a service you can turn to for all your pet
sitting needs.
